Dispute

 

Individuals or Businesses can dispute the data presented in their Credit Report if they suspect the data is wrong or incorrect.

Report Dispute Process

Visit one of our Customer Service Centers or email us at disputes@aecb.gov.ae and register a dispute.

You can only dispute data within 60 days from obtaining your Credit Report from Al Etihad Credit Bureau. Make sure you provide the documents that prove that the information is incorrect.

Documents required to file a dispute

For individuals:

1.       Supporting Documents (e.g. Bank Statements, Payment Receipts, Contract Repayment Schedule, or any relevant document).

2.       Credit Report Data Dispute Form - Individuals (available here) duly filled in.

For Companies:

1.       Supporting Documents (e.g. Bank Statements, Payment Receipts, Contract Repayment Schedule, or any relevant document).

2.       Credit Report Data Dispute Form - Corporates (available here) duly filled in.

 

We will raise your dispute with the relevant Financial Institution along with your documents for review.

The financial institution will have up to 20 working days to review your dispute and provide us with updated information. In case your dispute is not resolved within 20 working days, we will escalate it to the Disciplinary Committee formed according to the instructions of the Central Bank.

We will update the information as soon as it is received and notify you.

You can then visit one of our Customer Service Centers to get your updated Credit Report.
